An intimate leadership experience designed with the precision of a large-scale activation.
For an executive women’s retreat in Napa Valley, MES created a private vineyard dinner for 16 leaders. The scale was intimate, but every decision still had to carry weight. The environment needed to feel elevated, personal, and connected to the landscape without competing with it.
The Creative Direction
MES built the design around contrast and softness. Crisp white linen and sculptural black bentwood chairs gave the table a clean architectural foundation. Smoky lavender napkins, charcoal chargers, gold-rimmed glassware, and layered floral arrangements introduced warmth, dimension, and a quiet, elevated warmth.
Low arrangements kept conversation open across the table, while larger floral moments grounded both ends of the setting. The palette moved through lavender, blush, ivory, and green, echoing the surrounding vines instead of overpowering them.

The Execution
Outdoor dining leaves every detail exposed. MES treated the installation as a complete guest environment, balancing table spacing, sightlines, place-setting consistency, floral scale, and the natural backdrop. The team installed and styled the experience onsite so all 16 seats felt intentional from the first arrival through the final course.
The Result
The finished dinner felt refined without becoming formal or distant. It created space for conversation, leadership, and connection while giving the executives a distinctly Napa Valley experience. For MES, it was proof that small-format events still deserve full-scale thinking.
